Any connection to lymphedema?

Postby gary1955 » Mon Apr 06, 2009 10:54 pm

It's been a while since I've posted here. Hope everyone is doing well. I have a question that maybe someone can answer.

I have 3rd stage bi-lateral lymphedema of the lower limbs. I also suffer from morbid obesity being some 200 pounds overweight. I noticed some time ago that my abdomen area from the waist down is large and very hard from just below my chest to my navel area especially when I sit back. It's almost solid as a rock. In the past before getting LE, I was large in that area but more flabby.

I am curious if my LE has some role in this hardening of that area now? Has anyone ever heard of this? Thx Gary

Could it be that your lymphedema has spread to your abdomen?
