I have secondary lymphedema from melanoma surgery that removed some of the iliac and inguinal lymph nodes that were positive for cancer (apparently the cancer was slow growing which is unusual in melanoma and had been there since I was a child). This was about 7 years ago and thank God I am still cancer free, but now I have right lower extremity lymphedema and also in the abdomen. Before the cancer at 23 I was slender, but have slowly and steadily gained weight since and am now what I like to call pleasantly plump

The abdominal LE started off slow but has gradually gotten worse (as has the leg too), and then last year I finally got the ok from my oncologist to get pregnant. I researched as much as I could on LE in pregnancy, especially regarding abdominal, but did not find much information, however the neonatologist said it would be fine. After having my son who is now 6 months
